The Fremont Adventure Recreation group is a great resource for familiarizing yourself with the various areas of Fremont County and how to prepare and know before you go what to bring.
- Be aware of the weather. Being flexible to changing weather conditions is part of backcountry recreation. Planning, gear requirements, and limitations bound to weather can change drastically from day to day.
- Always let someone know where you are going and when you plan to return.
- Don’t go alone, it is always best to enjoy outdoor activities with others.
- Bring appropriate gear for your specific trip. Seasonal changes and different forms of recreation can greatly influence what gear is needed.
